Wednesday 16th August
Today was “called” as a rest day. We have hammered the parks since we arrived and it was time for a long sleep and a chill by the pool. The weather stated rain and thunderstorms…let’s see!

We took some time to explore the Art of Animation hotel as the scale of this place is staggering. We took a walk over to the Cars land and the mini pool there, we saw some familiar faces on the way!

At the Cars pool they have a horseshoe shaped swimming pool with six traffic cones around the outside. Each “cone” had two sunloungers, table, shade and a roof with a tiny hole. Perfect for us to park all our stuff, get some shade and let Mummy cook her soft English skin.

We got kicked out of the pool and cone around 3pm due to lighting, not Lighting McQueen (which would have been amazing) but actual lighting was approaching.
We headed back to the room and grabbed some lunch while watching Ratatouille! More Cars pictures, this time without rash vests!

We spent time planning our EPCOT trip, we are trying to rope drop tomorrow and hit all the big rides in one day. We are trying to get Ratatouille, Frozen and Guardians of the Galaxy all knocked out. Mummy is in Planning Manning mode.

Daddy thought about work for the first time in a loooong time. It’s interesting when you just stop working for three months, I highly recommend it! What to do next, and what will be the most fun/interesting things to work on.
We did some more playing in the pool, pretending the green and yellow balls were monster food and chasing the boys. Lots of throwing of children happened!

Daddy listened as an American Dad told his 7yr daughter that her making a fist at her sister wasn’t good. “Actions require thought” why did you do that to her? Blank stare and a shrug.

The rain kicked in again! During our FaceTime call with Nanny for the first time since we have been in Orlando, it felt cool! When we went to the Fantasmic show the night temperatures were 28/29 (crazy to even think about) but the forecast for the upcoming week is stating 22/23 night temperatures which will be glorious!
Early night, for an early start! Guardians of the Galaxy is the most expensive ride ever ($550m) and is the first ever 360 degree rollercoaster. We need this in our lives! Excited!
