Wednesday 23rd August
We decided a rest day was in order. We are trying to hit the final parks on Thursday so today we relaxed and went to two amazing restaurants. First stop ‘Ohana, this time for breakfast!

It’s such a great restaurant, this time breakfast with characters! We had Mickey waffles, cooked breakfast and coffee (much needed) the characters made their rounds. The boys were excited as they hadn’t met Lilo & Stitch yet!

We spent most of the afternoon at the two pools at the Polynesian. We hasn’t spent much time in the smaller “relaxed” pool, but did today. Mummy activated Tanning Manning, after she was set on not being the pastiest NCT Mum.

We switched pools, the boys played some games while we took turns swimming and playing with the boys. Favourite games were underwater rock, paper, scissors and trying to ride on Daddy’s back like a surfboard!
We had dinner booked at Whispering Canyon Cafe after great reviews online. The meal and service is done with jokes and comedy. In reality this heavily depends on your server. Our was fast talking, no time for small talk Diego who’s rapid approach took the edge off the comedy.
We had another stellar rattlesnake performance from Nathaniel. Again, if you want the details please reach out. We are also booking Nathaniel for electric shock treatment on our return to England (that is a joke).
We saw a girl ask for ketchup, to which every table that has ketchup had to rush their ketchup bottles over! The next time someone asked for ketchup, the waiter had a bullhorn and ask for a lot of ketchup.

We weren’t raving about the food or service, so we finished up and took a walk around the hotel. After being in actual Yellowstone, it was quirky to see it replicated in Disney. They even created fake geezers outside.

We finished our walk around Wildness Lodge, did some pin trading at the front desk and even more pin trading in the shop. We also found a few random people who started to trade with the boys. One man was a professional (had his pins in a special booklet) and went through and graded the boys pins! The results were that all but two were “scrappers” meaning fakes. We did have a Lilo & Stitch and Spider-Man pin that were real and rare! Not bad going as Nate and Elliott must have made some good trades to get them.

We grabbed a large boat back to Magic Kingdom, it was packed full as Magic has super late extended hours (till 1am). Once we were back at Magic, we got a smaller (better) boat back to the Polynesian.

We got slightly held up as the firework boats crossed our path, but we got back in time for a decent nights sleep.

Tomorrow is a final (and best) day at the Disney parks. We are attempting Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. This should keep everyone happy. The parks are in different places, but we are going to Genie+ as queuing on your last day isn’t a good look!
