8:30am and we’re off on our next adventure!…no flights this time, just a lot of pootling along behind tractors!

All packed up and ready to go…we get to the end of Exford…”Mummy…I’m hungry, can I have some food?” Not yet, we explain, it’s 8:31am and you only had breakfast an hour ago! We turn onto the A127, Mummy somehow spills some of her tea, she wipes it up, sets up Google maps, does a quick run down of everything we have, indeed, packed…”WEDDING SHOES!” Daddy proclaims, so we turn back towards Exford, where Mummy manages to pack an extra small bag of random ‘forgotten’ things grabs the shoes (and her slippers, of course!) then it’s back in the car and off down Exford!…again!…at. 8:37pm!…”Mummy, can I have some food now?! Pleeease?!” So out come the Dairylea Dunkers. And a boiled egg. What else?!

Stonehenge was really quite awesome. The boys were not enthralled by the idea of a 2km walk to get there, but in the sunshine, through grassy fields and shady woods, it was beautiful.

We all enjoyed the new weather and it wasn’t long before we were transfixed by the immense stones. They. We’re. Huge! The boys had learnt about how they transported them while we studied The Stone Age so couldn’t believe they had managed to roll and boat them from all corner of the UK to where Wiltshire! We tried out a few of the suggested poses…and a few of our own…then made our way back to the (luckily!) very short queue for the ride back and straight onto the waiting bus!

It was then onto our new home for the next 3 days! Thank you to our marvellous friend for trusting us with your beautiful cottage! 😍
