Today – Lulworth Cove and the beautiful walk to Durdle Door! But first!…we had to wave goodbye to the fabulous cottage we had been lucky enough to stay in!

The walk was an awesome mix of uphill struggle and ankle-rolling downward rock descents. The rain was a fabulous addition to the morning, however, despite his constant gentle moans about Durdle Door being far too far for him to walk, Nate decided to continue on down the steps into the Durdle Cove itself (dragging Mummy with him for a photo or two) so he could throw stones into the water for 2-3 minutes. He liked the cove and the fact that the rock looked like an open door, but we were incredibly wet and getting cold, so we decided to make our way back up to the top…(the very top!) and to the car for a dry lunch!

The rain continued for hours, until well into the night (what did we expect, we are in England after all!) so we enjoyed the drive home, pointing out all the thatched cottages we could find and enjoyed a chilled afternoon/evening in the cottage! Diary writing with the mini sticker photos has been winning!
