Day 13 – The day with the white tail deer.
Well, Daddy came back from the gym at about 8:30ish and walked up the stairs as he normally does. Only this time, as the stairs turned he noticed something in the distance.
As soon as the “Head” deer saw Daddy he froze and stared Daddy out. Daddy has now had a stare off with white tail deer and bison in Yellowstone!
Daddy ever so slowly edged up the stairs and whispered to the boys. Elliott and Nate come out here very slowly. Elliott’s first reply was “Daddy, Nate hasn’t done the dishwasher” Shhhh Elliott come here and put your sliders on.

The boys saw the deer and we even sent Elliott to wake Mummy (it was now 9ish so still early for Mummy) she came down and peeked out and just about managed to see them before the bounced off into the wilderness. Mummy retreated back to the safety of the bedroom.
We had a plan to attend Skatefest which was happening about 20mins away from us in a local park. The idea was that between 10am and 12pm the kids can skate for free, then 12pm onwards the professionals would perform a demo for the kids.
As we left the heavens started to open and by the time we arrived it was a full on shower.

We arrived at Skatefest to find one boy probably around 12 skating on his own in the rain. There were about 10 cars in the car park, but no skaters and not much in the way of festival. We assumed as the weather had turned it might be postponed?

Mummy checked on Facebook and it mentioned being scheduled to June! It was now about 11ish and it’s torrential rain for most of the day. Daddy had an idea.
Shopping 🛍️
The Premium Outlets in Montreal were a place we wanted to visit and with this weather today seemed like the perfect opportunity. Some of the stores like Ralph Lauren offered 60% off, Nike/Under Armour and North Face all offered 40/50% off the RRP.
First stop was Ralph Lauren which had an amazing liquidation section. If you hand over your email address you can get an extra 20% onto of the discount.

Daddy got a healthy selection of clothes in a newly fitted Medium size. Which is a blessing and a curse as Daddy can never put a weight on to fit into these clothes!
The boys were amazing and sat reading their kindles while Mummy and Daddy looked at the clothes and tried things on.

Another thing about the Premium Outlet today was it was shop with your dogs! There were dogs everywhere. There were dog stands and markets and lots of fun games and interactive games. We even saw a husky puppy that almost swayed Mummy into getting a doggy.

The boys were on top form so they got to pick the lunch which was a delicious hand made pizza and poutine. If you haven’t tried poutine before it’s chip covered in gravy with lumps of cheese on top! It’s an acquired taste.

We blitzed a few more shops, dodging the rain the process, luckily most of the outlet was covered.

The boys got a treat of Ice Cream Rolls which they devoured quickly.

We ended this healthy trip with a tasty churro from Churros Camps who had the best company logo. The boys had been amazing though, didn’t fight or argue and read their kindles while we shopped.

We got back and the boys got to work on their travel diaries and Mummy went for a lay down as her chest has been playing up today. Daddy got to work on a healthy dinner about all that unhealthy food today!
We don’t have any plans for tomorrow, it’s all weather dependent and Monday is Patriots Day (bank holiday) so we need to get planning!
